SAMİRA DARYA

Born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran, the artist is a graduate of the Conservatory of Graphic Arts and holds a bachelor’s degree in Painting and Illustration.

A member of the Iranian Painters Association, she has been teaching art to children for over 25 years. She has illustrated two books: “The Story of the Demon and the Fisherman” by Hooshang Golshiri (2019) and “The Lovely Cloud” by Nazım Hikmet (2019).

She has participated in more than 100 national and international exhibitions, including in Iran, Armenia (2016), USA – Modesto (2002), Australia (2000), Oman (2018), and Istanbul (2014, Georgian Art House). Selected exhibitions include Adahan Gallery (2018), Art Here Istanbul (2019), an online exhibition in Portugal (2021), and group exhibitions at Atelier Natalia Gromicho.

She has held 12 solo exhibitions and organized more than fifteen workshops, painting, and sculpture exhibitions for children. In 2022, she held weekly “Pop Open Studio” performances at Art Here Istanbul and participated in the Bodrum Art Fair. In 2023, she took part in a group exhibition at Gala Sanat Gallery.
