BABAK BIDARIAN

Babak Bidarian (b. 1979, Hamedan, Iran) is a contemporary painter based in Istanbul. Holding an M.A. in Painting, he is also the founder and director of Bidarian Gallery & Art School in Hamedan.

Working with a conceptual approach through the language of realism, Bidarian explores the hidden layers of personal and collective identity. His paintings balance precise, detailed representation with themes of silence, absence, and the unseen, creating a space for reflection on identity and human relationships.

Focusing on concepts such as concealment and revelation, presence and absence, his work invites the viewer to question the boundaries between external reality and inner truth. Bidarian has exhibited in prestigious galleries and participated in international auctions, including Bonhams London, establishing a strong presence in the contemporary art scene.
