Serhat Alparslan's artistic practice explores the concept of hypnosis as a philosophical inquiry into timelessness and perception. He interprets the condition of "seeing while blind" as the inability to grasp the deeper nature of reality despite the physical act of seeing. Although the world, the universe, and everything that exists are reflected in human perception, these reflections often remain superficial, preventing us from reaching their true essence.

Set within an undefined time and space, his works suggest that we exist under the influence of a hypnotic reality shaped by the images we believe we perceive. From the moment we are born, we are inevitably drawn into a state of solitude and isolation. Alparslan regards death as the ultimate form of mental conditioning and the most profound state of hypnosis. In his practice, death becomes a shared inheritance that renders distinctions between heaven and hell meaningless, leading every individual toward the same inevitable end. Once this threshold is crossed, no one differs from another. Our bodies, destined to dissolve into themselves, ultimately share the same beginning and the same end.
